Placement:

Polytechnic has an Industry Institution Interaction Cell which looks after industrial training and placement activities. Placement activities take place during January – March and August – October.

Many reputed companies visit institution for campus selection. Selection is based on written test followed by group discussion and/ or interview. If the vacancies in the company are very few, then they seek list of passed out students (fresh) and sometimes students with one or two year experience. IIIC share the resume of the students who satisfy the requirements of industries. Later industries invite the students for selection to their venue and inform us about the details of selected candidates. Further, IIIC inform the students about the Job Mela, campus selection arranged at a centralized location in any of the polytechnics at Mysuru and see that they attend the same.

Polytechnic has achieved almost 100% placement.

Entrepreneurship Development:

Polytechnic has established Entrepreneurship Development Cell with assistance from AICTE, New Delhi under EDC scheme. Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps are being conducted for final year students every year. Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmadabad sponsors programs under NIMAT project of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Also, students are encouraged and facilitated to become self- employed. Awareness is created to utilize the Livelihood Based Incubator and Technology Based Incubator facilities available at JSS Institutions.
